Our current selection of first edition and collectable copies of The Tale of Johnny Town-Mouse by Beatrix Potter. The twenty-first of Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit Series books (the thirteenth and last book in the 'First Series'), first published by Frederick Warne and Co in 1918. Being rather delicate books and given mainly to small children, first and early editions rarely survive in nice condition and are sought after both Potter collectors and people wishing to give a special present. The country mouse accidentally end up in the city, where the town-mice, including Johnny Town-Mouse, make him welcome, but finding the city frightening, he returns home.
